Clayton Dallas
Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking
Clayton Dallas is the Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at Zions Capital Markets. In this role, he leads the strategic expansion and execution of Zions’ Investment Banking Advisory platform. Throughout his career, Clayton has operated successfully at the intersection of capital markets, commercial banking, and corporate strategy, assisting clients with complex transaction structures and advisory solutions.
Prior to leading the investment banking buildout at Zions, Clayton held key roles across prominent financial institutions and in high-growth corporate sectors. He served in various capacities at Wells Fargo, spanning Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, and Energy Lending. He subsequently transitioned to the corporate sector, joining the corporate development team at Quanta Services, where he executed a significant number of M&A transactions, helped launch a committed capital investment vehicle, and collaborated on broader corporate strategy. Following his time at Quanta, Clayton ran M&A for Emergent Cold, a global logistics provider backed by Elliott Management, where he focused on rolling up cold storage chains across emerging markets to build a globally connected network.
Leveraging his deep background across both institutional finance and corporate execution, Clayton provides clients with comprehensive, advisory services tailored to their strategic capital needs. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Finance from Southern Methodist University, where he also serves on the Cox School of Business Alumni Board. Highly active in his community, Clayton currently serves on the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, having previously held several other leadership positions within the organization.
